Heading into the final week of the regular season, the 15-5 Mansfield Christian Flames are looking to gain experience as they prep for tournament, the hard way, with two of their best players Bryce Ernsberger and Ryan Smith who are both out due to injuries.  Coach John Kurtz says some of his young players have been brought up to the varsity level and are learning in a trial by fire so-to-speak as the team looks to fill the loss of 30 points a game provided by Smith and Ernsberger.

This week the Flames will finish the regular season on the road at New London, then Friday at home against Kidron Central Christian before entering tounament at Ontario in the Division IV semifinal against Lucas, a team the Flames beat 65-34 during the regular season.  Should the Flames win that game they'll advance to the D-4 sectional final next Friday at Ontario against number one seed Col.Crawford who stopped MCS 63-41, on the first weekend of the regular season.
