At 17-3 overall, 13-0 in the Ohio Cardinal Conference, the Mansfield Tygers will finish the regular season on Friday and Saturday with both games on the road.  Friday, Senior High will be at Wooster looking to finish undefeated in OCC play for the first time since the 2009-'10 season, then on Saturday hit the road again for an afternoon contest at Massillon.

Mansfield has already wrapped up an outright conference championship and is seeded second at the Galion Division I sectional which begins next week.  Tyger coach JT Reese says the final two regular season games will be treated as if they were tournament games.  The team is also looking to expand their bench as they head into the second season.

One of the things that has pushed the Tygers along this season has been the play of their two inside big men, Donovyn Benson and Robert Jones.  Reese commented that it has been a team thing, both Jones and Benson have been looking to score more this season.   When they do, the outside is opened up for 1,000 point scorer Keon Johnson along with CJ Simmons, Jalen Reese, Chek Washington, Malon Samuel, Mario Davison and Jameel Butts, all good outside shooters.

The Tygers will open tournament play a week from Friday at Galion in the Division I sectional final at 8pm against the winner of the Ashland/Madison sectional semifinal to be played next Tuesday at 8pm.
