Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center outside of Crestline in Crawford County held its annual Arrowhead Day this past weekend. Crawford Park District Director Bill Fisher says local Arrowhead exhibitors have hundreds of Indian artifacts on display and offer their expertise. An informative presentation was given by Dale Stansberry who assisted in excavating nearby Sheridan Cave in Wyandot County where more than 40 extinct animals were found. Fisher says for those families wanting to learn how to find Arrowheads, an Arrowhead Hunt will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 at the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center. |
