The United Way of Ashland County held its annual meeting Tuesday in Ashland University's John C. Myers Convocation Center, celebrating reaching its fundraising goal for the sixth consecutive year. When it was all said and done, the United Way of Ashland County surpassed its goal of $1.025-million, totaling $1.045-million. Attaining the goal is significant as the United Way of Ashland County was one of only eight such organizations in Ohio to meet its 2013 goal. United Way of Ashland County Executive Director Ev DeVaul also recognized Jan Archer and Chris Vanderzyden by honoring them as recipients of the J. Robert Tipton Volunteer of the Year award winners. |
