The two teams will play again Friday evening in the Northwest District Division IV sectional finals. In last night's opener, Brandon Mount led Mansfield Christian with 24 points as they dispatched Lucas, 53-38. They will have a rematch from earlier this season with number one seed, Colonel Crawford. It wasn't quite as easy for St. Peter's in the nightcap as they were pushed by Crestline before exploding for 22 4th quarter points. The Spartans advance to a Friday night match-up with Buckeye Central following a 53-38 win. Joseph Rall took an inbounds pass and laid it in at the 3rd quarter buzzer to give the Spartans a 31-30 edge. Physical play in the final period led to a season high 20 points for Rall to go with eight rebounds. 6'8", Cole Phillips, off the bench added 10 points and eight boards. The Spartans stingy 4th quarter defense and rebounding averted a repeat of last season's sectional loss to Crestline.
