A 19 point spurt by the Mohawk Warriors was too much for the Eagles to overcome. Until then it was a close game as Mohawk now advances to the girl's Division IV district finals this Saturday evening at 7 p.m. against Norwalk St. Paul. Colonel Crawford's Nickyla Garverick led all scorers with 21 points, but it was not enough as her basketball career comes to an end. She will go to the University of Findlay next year to play volleyball. There were five lead changes and three ties in the opening half, with the Warriors taking a 24-21 lead into halftime. Gaverick opened the third period with a steal and a score, but that's when Mohawk's outside shooting took over. The Warriors went five of five from beyond the arc, two from Sarah Union and three from Julie Adelsperger.
