Ontario wins their 11th straight game and wraps up the Division III sectional championship at Lexington Friday night with a 53-25 drubbing of conference foe Bucyrus.

The game was the third showdown between the two schools, with the Warriors winning both regular season matchups, but the second game would be highly contested until the final minutes. Friday night Ontario took control from the opening tip behind eight first quarter points from Wyatt Clemens to blow open a 19-2 advantage. The Redmen would manage just five more points in the second quarter and trailed 31-7 at the break, as Clemens and Warriors junior forward Cam Mack combined for 23 first half points.

The shooting woes for Bucyrus continued into the second half with Ontario holding the Redmen to just two field goals in the third stanza, extending their lead out to 42-13. In the fourth quarter Warrior's coach Joe Balogh would unload his bench early and Bucyrus would outscore Ontario 12-11 in the frame, but it was too little too late and the Warriors would secure their fourth consecutive sectional title.

The Redmen were dreadful from the floor, connecting on just 10-42 (24%) shot attempts, while Ontario finished 20-49 (41%) from the floor. The Warriors also won the battle of the boards with a 40-23 advantage and the turnover battle 21-15.

Mack finished as the leading scorer in the game with 18 pts to go along with 6 rebounds. Clemens added 15 on 3-4 shooting from long range and Brandon Wagner had 10.

In his final game for the Redmen, Michael Purcell, the lone senior for Bucyrus had a stellar night with 16 pts but got little help as only three of his teammates got in the scoring column. The Redmen finish up their season sectional runners-up with a record of 5-18.

The win is the 20th of the season for Ontario, just the third time in school history the school has hit that mark. The 20-4 Warriors now advance to the district semi-finals at Willard to take on Collins Western Reserve (18-5). That game can be listened to LIVE on WMFD.com or seen on WOHZ TV Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
