Jon Stewart is taking the summer off from "The Daily Show."

"Daily Show" correspondent John Oliver will fill Stewart's chair for eight weeks.

Carly Rae Jepsen is taking a stand in support of gay rights.

The "Call Me Maybe" singer has canceled her performance at the Boy Scouts' upcoming "Jamboree" because of the group's ban on openly gay members.

Jepsen said she is acting as an artist who believes in equality for all people.

Last week, the group "Train" pulled out of the program for the same reason.

In a statement, the Boy Scouts of America says it appreciates everyone's right to express and opinnion, and it remains focused on delivering a great "Jamboree."

It seems the eighth season of "Dexter" will be its last.

While discussing the serial killer drame at a conference, CBS President Les Moonves said its last season starts in June.

That echoes what the president of Showtime told "Entertainment Weekly back in 2011.
