Registration is underway for the annual Heart of Ohio Fashion Dash 5K Run/Walk sponsored by Leadership Unlimited alumni and KeyBank.  All proceeds will go to MedCentral Health System’s Heart Health Education to help fund education programs throughout Richland County.

The Heart of Ohio Fashion Dash will take place Saturday, April 27, in Lexington, Ohio.  This fun event will feature participants wearing their favorite “red dress” to promote the hospital’s heart wellness awareness campaign.

The course will be the B&O Bike Trail.  Registration will start at 8 a.m. at the Senior Civic Center, 67 E. Main St., Lexington.  The race begins at 9 a.m.

Medals will be awarded to the top two men and women runners in each age bracket: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.  Trophies will be awarded to the top male and female overall runners and to the “best dressed” male and female participants.

There is an entry fee for runners.  It’s $15 for those who register by April 19.  Runners who register after April 19, including the day of the run/walk, must pay $20.  Participants are encouraged to get pledges.

T-shirts will be available the day of the event to the first 100 participants.

Registration and pledge forms for the Heart of Ohio Fashion Dash 5K Run/Walk are available at www.fashiondashing.com, on the event’s Facebook page, at the Mansfield Area Y and the Mansfield-Richland Area Chamber of Commerce, or by calling Bill Sharp at (419)522-3211.
