The Columbus Zoo made a special trip Friday to the Silver Lining Group in Ontario.

The students had the opportunity to learn more about the amazing animals featured at the zoo.

The students got up-close and personal with a fox, a 50-year-old tortoise named "Lucky, a baby kangaroo, a penguin and armadillo.

Columbus Zoo animal program specialist Emily Teach said her department is called the "Animal Program" and a lot of the animals featured at the event are the ones that go out with Jack Hanna.
