The Coffee House that's been operating since August at the Crossroads Community Church on Park Avenue West in Mansfield had its Grand Opening Friday afternoon.

Richland Area Chamber of Commerce President Kevin Nestor, and Mansfield City Council President Phil Scott, led a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Co-managers Aaron and Jocelyn Nicolas recently moved to Mansfield from Boston where they worked as Baristas, and brought their extensive knowledge of quality coffees, espressos, and lattes with them.

They say The Coffee House is unique because its coffees are acquired by direct trade with growers in Guatemala, eliminating the middle man and resulting in a high quality product.  Direct trade also allows them to pay farmers above fair-wages.

Free coffee was given away, and specialty beverages were offered at half price for the celebration.

The Coffee House at Crossroads Church will be open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 9 pm.
