Veteran Mansfield Police Officer Retires

  Original Published: 4/2/2013A 22-year veteran of the Mansfield Police Department has retired. Mansfield Police Sgt. JB Bond retired Monday from the department. Bond, 49, joined the force in March of 1991 and was promoted to sergeant in 2010. Bond has worked in the patrol division and with the METRICH Enforcement Unit. Bond also with the Richland County Sheriff's Office During his tenure he helped establish the police bike patrol and the Police Athletic League. Bond also served as an advisor for the Explorers. A special reception was held Monday honoring Bond for his years on service in the Hutchinson classroom.
