Original Published: 4/3/2013A Galion company is being recognized for excellence. Covert Manufacturing, Inc. has achieved "Partner-level Supplier" status from John Deere for 2012.  The honor recognizes Covert's dedication to providing products and service of outstanding quality, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement.  Company employees accepted the honor during a formal ceremony in Davenport, Iowa. The recognition is part of John Deere's Achieving Excellence Program.  Suppliers who participate in the program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness.  John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement. Covert Manufacturing specializes in precision machined products.  They supply parts to John Deere's operations in several cities.  You can learn more about Covert's manufacturing capabilities at covertmfg.com.
