After a 16-2 regular season finish and a sectional championship in 2012, the Lady Lex softball team is off to a quick start in 2013 at 3-0 after two wins over Norwalk and one over Mansfield Senior.  Veteran coach Mike Hamman who starts his 21st season (328-129) welcomes back eight returning players in seniors Dana Pike, Jordan Holder, Katelynn Spore, Brooke Graham and Kennedy Barler, junior Jordan Klindinger and sophomores Abbie Sgro and Morgan Ziegler.

Coach Hamman feels Ashland, Wooster and Clear Fork will the top teams in the OCC.  If Lady Lex is to contend, the coach adds they'll need to depend on their pitching until the team's defense gets into game form.
