Two Kids Feared Dead In Wall Collapse In North Carolina

  Original Published: 4/8/2013Two childen are feared dead after a basement wall collapses in North Carolina.    Crews spent hours digging for the 6-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy before the emphasis changed from rescue to recovery.   They were trapped when the wall of a basement collapsed at a home construction site.    Rescuers dug with their hands at times, trying to free the children.    An emergency management official says the attempts were unsuccessful, since the two were already below ground when the wall collapsed.    Neighbors say the two were cousins.    Investigators are working to determine why the basement collapsed.
