Democratic Women's Caucus Welcomes Innovation Ohio

The progressive think tank Innovation Ohio, is working with all Ohioans to educate them about the state's policies that impact economic development, health care, women's issues and education.

Jen Lynch, Director of Outreach for the organization, was the guest speaker Monday at the Richland County Democratic Women's Caucus at the K.E. McCartney Memorial Building in downtown Mansfield.

Lynch discussed the state funding changes on school districts outlined in Gov. John Kasich's budget.

"We're seeing in the Governor's budget there will be a $1.2 million cutto Mansfield local schools. What Innovation Ohio is doing iseducating the publicabout how schools are impacted by the cuts," Lynch said.

The analysis shows that school districts in Ohio will have $416 millionless in the next two years than they did in 2010-2011.

Innovation Ohio was founded in Feb. 2011. In just two years, they have published 21 major reports, 24 white papers and released over 60 news releases.
