After going through the 2012 regular season undefeated and winning a poll state championship in baseball, the Ontario Warriors have gotten the new season off to a good start winning six of their first seven, with the only set back coming against Fredericktown.

Warriors coach Dan Gorbett says even though the season has just started, the team was in need of one those "team meetings."  Gorbett said he discussed that this year's squad needed to go out and play with the same urgency and fire as last season's squad.

Some of that fire showed up Monday as the Warriors came back from three runs down to edge Willard 5-4.  Tyler Gorbett, Brad Dretzka, Tyler Beal and Kyle Pasheilich provided the sticks making a winner of pitcher Mitch McCristall.  At 6-1, Ontario will take on St.Peter's and Mt.Gilead in non-league play to finish out the week before starting up NCC play against Upper Sandusky on Monday.
