The North End Community Improvement Collaborative, NECIC, held a small grant workshop for residents, churches, community groups and non-profit organizations.

Those in attendance learned how to apply for up to $250 in grant funding for projects to support the North End of Mansfield.

NECIC has teamed up with Youth for Christ of North Central Ohio to help support the projects that will come out of the small grants.

Jean Taddie, NECIC community organizer, said the organization will provide volunteers to help with the various projects.

Taddie said there is $2,500 in funding available this year thanks to private donations and community support.
She said 10 small grants will be awarded this year.

For more information about the grants visit www.necic-ohio.org.
