The Richland County Child Support Enforcement Agency has a new director.

The commissioners have hired Janet Brock to replace the retiring Jerry Saunders.

Brock has worked for the agency for 23 years, first as a case worker then as assistant director of case management.

She says collections are going well, but efforts are being made to increase them.

Brock starts as Child Support Enforcement director May first.  Her salary will be $57,000.

Nineteen people applied for the job.
