The 37th annual Ohio Professional and Student Conference on Aging was held Friday at Ashland University.

240 professionals in the field of aging, and students pursuing careers, gathered at the Myers Convocation Center.

The conference is a function of the Ohio Association of Gerontology and Education, OAGE for short, under the theme Navigating Life's Transitions.

OAGE President Bob Applebaum says the discussion focuses on the future needs of the post-World War Two baby-boomer population.

The conference is being hosted by an Area Agency on Aging for the first time, in this case Mansfield-based District Five.

The keynote speaker was Doctor Nancy Schlossberg, an expert in the field of aging and author of the book "Revitalizing Retirement: Reshaping you Identity, Relationships, and Purpose.
