Richland County's Bicentennial Celebration officially got underway Tuesday with the a 1913 Dinner Theatre at St. Luke's Point of Grace Church, 2 Marion Ave.in Mansfield.

Richland County Bicentennial coordinator Pastor PaulLintern said the dinner theatre is the first of several events planned to mark the bicentennial.

The dinner was a re-enactment of Richland County in1913. The event featured lively music,spirited entertainment, photographs and fine food all designed to take you back to the Mansfield area.

"We're treating this event as if it were a flood relief benefit. There was a flood in Mansfield during that time. We have area set up inside the church providing information about flood relief and we're also celebrating the centennial of Richland County," Lintern said.

Lintern said St. Luke's Lutheran Church now St. Luke's Point of Grace Church, was open in 1913. He saidthe church was the perfectsetting for the dinner theatre.
