Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month Kicks Off With Ride

  Original Published: 5/5/2013  In honor of May being “Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month," the Richland County Safe Communities Coalition joined with Boomer’s Powersports at 539 Park Ave. East in Mansfield to sponsor a weekend ride.   Health Educator Reed Richmond with the Mansfield, Ontario, Richland County Health Department, says bikers gathered for a “Blessing of the Bikes,” by the Mansfield Chapter of Road Riders for Jesus, followed by a road ride.   Richmond says it's important for bikers to make every safety precaution as well.   More than 200 motorcyclists were expected to enjoy the road ride which was followed by a hot dog cookout for all the participants.
