Upper Arlington Wins Lex Tennis Invite

28 time team state champion Upper Arlington took home first place at the annual Lexington Tennis Invite held this past weekend at Lakewood Racquet Club and Lexington High School.  The Golden Bears finished first with 37 points, Solon was second with 28, Lexington third with 27.  Finishing fourth was Walsh Jesuit with 22, Findlay was fifth with 21, 6th, Centerville 19 and 7th Toledo St.Fancis with 14.

In number one singles Aaron Sandberg of Walsh Jesuit defeated Lex's Mason Dragos 7-5, 7-6.  In number two singles, Lexington's Jake Youse downed Jeff Melvin of Upper Arlington 6-2, 6-3 and at number three singles Brandon Griffin of Upper Arlington defeated Matt Youse of Lexington 6-3, 6-3.  

Lex's number one doubles team of Tommy and Matt Barkett finished seventh.  Lex's number two doubles team of Jansen Webster and Santi Acero finished fifth overall.
