Suicide Bomber Targets Qatari Delegation In Somalia

  Original Published: 5/6/2013  A delegation from Qatar survived an attack while traveling in Mogadishu.   A suicide bomber rammed a car full of explosives into their convoy on Sunday.   Witnesses say the blast killed at least eight bystanders.   No one in the convoy was hurt.   The Somalia-based radical Islamist group "Al-Shabab" is claiming responsibility for the attack.   Al-Shabab has been behind several recent attacks in Somalia.   Somalia's government, backed by African union peacekeepers, has been battling Islamist guerrillas for years.
