Over 8,000 Runners At Cap City Half Marathon

8,107 runners took part this weekend in the 10th annual Cap City Half Marathon in Columbus.  Three area runners placed in the top 250 with 2008 Shelby graduate Andy Knapp leading the way.  Knapp finished third overall in 1 hour 10 minutes.  Other local runners who finished in the top 250 were Erwin Webel of Mansfield who finished 200th in 1 hour 34 minutes.  Jennifer Long of Ashland, Ohio was the top area finisher on the ladies side at 235th in 1 hour 35 minutes.   

Joeseph Purpura of Pataskala, Ohio won the race in 1 hour 9 minutes.
