Ashland School Board Receives Update On Building Projects

The Ashland City Schools Board of Education received an update Monday at a work session on the site progress for the new middle school located near the high school and the new elementary school that will be located on Duff Field.

District business manager Robertknabe told the board surveying has started to mark the property boundaries and boring samples have been taken of the soil.

Supt. Dr. Doug Marrah said the district is in the process of doing a title search on both properties.

"We're nowlookingat the blue printsfor the buildings to see what the rooms will look like in the new buildings. We'rein the process of getting everything ready to go out for bids," Marrah said.

In other business, Marrah said the board has been working on a five year forecast for the district. He said the main goal is to have the revenue and expenditures balance out. He expects the board to approve the forecast next week.
