A Lucas-based rock band is making some noise in the area and not just in their parents basements. The group Error 504 took home first prize at a Battle of the Bands competition in Columbus last weekend, earning them a spot on one of the industry's biggest stages, Rock On The Range.

The band will perform on the event's Jager Stage, Sunday afternoon at 11:30 a.m. at Columbus Crew Stadium in front of their biggest crowd to date. Members of the band are hopeful that the exposure will land them a coveted record deal and very well may, which is very impressive considering how far they've come so fast.

Error 504, made up of lead singer Dayne Sauder, 21, bass and secreaming vocals Jon Banks, 19, rhythm guitar Ryan Zellner, 19, lead guitar Alex Mayer, 18, and 18-year-old drummer Kevin Cuthbertson, was formed just 2-years ago through a small town connection in Lucas. The band played several small shows before earning a gig at Peabody's concert club in Cleveland and even competed at Battle for Rock On The Range last year, which the group credits as their jump off to success.

Although the band is predominantly made up of teenagers, the group insists they will not be nervous when they step on stage in front of thousands of people on Sunday. In fact, the crew is supremely confident it will be their best performance yet and strongly believe it will lead them out of the local scene and onto the national stage.

The name Error 504 comes from a Google search the band tried to perform a couple years ago to find a cool stage alias. However, the internet connection they were using was too slow to process their search and instead produced an error, Error 504, and the rest is history.

The band currently has a demo they are marketing to record labels and continue to practice in Banks' parents basement in Lucas. But this talented bunch will likely move on to bigger and better things in the near future.
