A girl reported missing in Galion has been found dead in Columbus.

14-year-old Katlyn Williams was reported as a runaway, the morning of March 26th, from the home of her adoptive parents, Orvil and Kris Williams at 370 Evans Avenue.

Crawford County Sheriff Scott Kent says Katlyn was last seen at 10 pm March 25th when her adoptive parents told her to get off the computer and go to bed.

She was not in her room at 7 am, and footprints were seen leading from outside of her window to the street.

Authorities believe a family member picked her up and drove her to Columbus.

Kent says Katlyn had talked to her biological mother, who lives in Norfolk, Virginia, the previous night and said she was thinking about running away.

She was found dead Thursday in a house on Wayne Avenue in southwest Columbus, and her identity has been confirmed.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the date and cause of Katlyn's death.
