Veterans Stand Down is the name of a two-day event at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center on West Fourth Street in Mansfield.

It is sponsored by the Community Action Commission of Erie, Huron, and Richland Counties; and the Richland County Veteran Services Commission.

Jennifer Jennette of Community Action says thirty social service agencies offered information Tuesday, with employers coming Wednesday.

Veteran Services Commission Director Tony DeLong says up to 400 veterans are expected to turn-out, to get the help they need as they return to civilian life.

This is the first of what Delong hopes will be an annual event.

Veterans Stand Down continues Wednesday from ten am to two pm.
