Rock-N-Ribs returns to the North-Central State College campus for its 28th year; Thursday, Friday, and Saturday July 11th through 13th.

Plans for one of Mansfield's most popular events of the summer were announced today to area media, with the rib vendors and bands what everyone what's to know about first.

N-C State Foundation Events Coordinator Gail Wagner says they'll have at least four national rib vendors and a couple of local ones.

Thursday's entertainers are Departure at 5 pm and Firehouse at 8:30 pm.  That concert will be free to police and firefighters.

Duff will perform at 5 pm Friday, followed by Sobos at 7:30, and The Mummies at 10.

On Saturday, The Jimmy Wagner Band plays at 5 pm, with Ohio Express at 7:30, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd at 10 pm.

Rock-N-Ribs is the major fund-raiser of the year for the N-C State Foundation, and Activities Committee Vice-President Rick Ruehle says it raises up to $60,000 for scholarships and building improvement projects.

Gate prices are five-dollars all day Thursday, and until seven pm on Friday and Saturday, at which time they become ten-dollars.

Seven to ten-thousand people attend Rock-N-Ribs each year.
