We have a winner in the Catholic Charities "Just Bag It" food drive competition among nine Richland County high schools.

Mansfield Saint Peter's students collected 200 bags of food, with the other high schools bringing the total to 627 bags.

Saint Peter's was presented a trophy Friday during a student assembly.

HOPE Pantry Director Linda Schlupp says she's grateful to all of the students who made the effort to help their neighbors in need, and says the pantry is well-stocked because of their contribution.

The need for food at Catholic Charities' HOPE Pantry has tripled in the last two years.

The other schools participating in the food drive were Madison, Lucas, Mansfield Senior, Pioneer, Shelby, Ontario, Lexington, and Crestview.
