Three Local Teams Play In Regionals This Week

Three local teams have advanced to regional semifinal play this week.  Two in softball, one in baseball.

In softball in Division II, 24-4 Madison will take on 27-1 Lima Bath Thursday at 5pm at Bucyrus in the D-2 semifinal.  The winner will play for a trip to Akron and the final four on Saturday at Bucyrus at noon against Oberlin Firelands or Granville.

In Division IV 16-9 Colonel Crawford will travel to Kent State Thursday at 5pm to play North Jackson Milton in the regional semifinal with the winner playing against Vienna Mathews or Cuyahoga Heights Saturday in the D-4 regional final at noon at KSU.

In Baseball in Division III, 27-3 Ontario will go up against 22-4 Bloom-Carroll in the D-3 regional semifinal at Elida on Thursday at 5pm, with the winner turning right around to play in the regional final Friday back in Elida at 5pm against Genoa or Lima Central Catholic.
