The 24-4 Madison Rams are prepping for their Division II softball regional semifinal on Wednesday evening at Bucyrus at 5pm where they take on 27-1 Lima Bath.  The Rams sport one of the best pitchers in the area in Page Carper who was honored as such with "pitcher of the year" in the Ohio Cardinal Conference with an era of 0.78 and 127 strike outs.

The Rams will see another good arm on Wednesday when they go up against the Wildcats Kimmy Reynolds.  According to coach Tim Niswander, Reynolds throws strikes forcing the opposition to put the ball in play.  She also has good speed getting the ball up to the plate in the mid to high 50's.  One of the biggest keys to the game will be Madison's ability to get the big hit at the right time, something they've been able to do late in the season and in tournament to this point.

Should the Rams win on Wednesday, they'll face the winner of the 18-12 Oberlin Firelands vs 22-6 Granville contest played Thursday in the D-2 regional final back at Bucyrus on Saturday at noon for a shot at Akron and the final four.
