Galion Fire And Police Receive Donation From Elks Lodge

  Original Published: 5/29/2013The Galion Fire and Police Departments will be purchasing new equipment thanks to a generous donation from Galion Elks Lodge 1191. Representatives from the organization presented the departments with a $2,000 donation from the Elks National Foundation grant at the Galion City Council meeting Tuesday night. Galion Police Chief Brian Saterfield said his department's $1,000 share of the money will be used to purchase a bullet-proof shield. The fire department will use its share to purchase new CPR mannequins and provide CPR training.
