Ashland County Solid Waste District Awards Scholarships

The Ashland County Solid Waste District has awarded scholarships to four graduating seniors.
 

The $1,000 scholarships were presented Tuesday at the Ashland County Commissioners meeting to Casey McDaniel and Garret Lash of Ashland High School, Ryan Culross of Mapleton High School and Sierra Wright of Loudonville High School.

The scholarships are given to students who plan to continue post-secondary education in an environmental field.
  

Money for the scholarships comes from the annual Ashland County Trash Can Open Scholarship Golf Outing held in August.
