The 17-9 Colonel Crawford softball team will play for a shot at the final four in Division IV Saturday at noon at Kent State University when they face off against 22-8 and fifth ranked in D-4 Vienna Mathews.  The Eagles earned their way to the regional final by slipping past Jackson-Milton on Thursday 2-1, while the Mustangs downed Cuyahoga Heights 1-0.  For the Eagles it's their first regional final appearance since 2008.  Col.Crawford has not advanced to the final four since 2002.

The winner will move on to the D-4 state semifinal next Thursday at 5:30pm at Firestone Stadium in Akron to face either 21-5 and #2 ranked Rockford Parkway or Edgerton.  The Division IV state final would be Saturday at 1pm in Akron.
