Colonel Crawford Heads To Softball Final Four

For the first time since 2002, the Colonel Crawford softball team has advanced to the Division IV final four in Akron with a 3-0 eight inning win over fifth ranked Vienna Mathews at Kent State University.  With the win the 18-9 Eagles advance to play 22-5 and second ranked Rockford Parkway on Thursday at 5:30 at Firestone Stadium in the D-4 semifinal.  Parkway downed Edgerton in ten innings 6-0. 

The other D-4 bracket features third ranked 27-5 Starsburg-Franklin, the team that beat CC in the '02 semifinal in nine innings 3-0) and number one ranked and undefeated Covington (29-0).  Covington and Franklin play at 3pm Thursday at Firestone Stadium.  The semifinal winners meet in the Division IV softball final Saturday, June 8th at 1pm.
