Lex Boys Tennis Team Wins State Title

For the first time since 2004, the Lexington boy's tennis team came away from Reynoldsburg, Ohio with the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association team state championship with a 3-2 win over Columbus Academy. 

Winner's for Lexington were in #1 singles with Mason Dragos stopping CA's Jacob Wareti 6-2, 6-1.  Lex's other two wins came in #1 doubles with Jake and Matt Youse downing Ryan Jung and Shrikar Kundur 6-2, 7-5 and #2 singles Matt and Tommy Barkett beating Ezar Smith and J.P. Perrini 6-2, 6-4. 

Overall both boys and girls, Lexington coach Ron Schaub has coached seven state championship teams.  Lexington also won the girls team tennis state championship this past fall for the third straight season.
