The Ohio Special Response Team is doing its annual Field Training Exercise this weekend at Hidden Hollow Camp in Bellville.

Commander Elvin Burnell says The 70-member group of volunteers meets Friday through Monday for 17 exercises including "man tracking", where they're taught how to examine footprints as they search for a missing person.

The Ohio Special Response Team was formed four-and-a-half years ago in Mansfield, has expanded to seven counties, and joined search and rescue efforts many times.

Burnell says they're always looking for more recruits.

Current members include people who work in the safety and rescue forces, with others from all walks of life.

The initial training takes two-and-a-half months.
