AEP crews working to restore power to 2,500 homes

 At least a couple of thousand electric customers are waking up without power Thursday morning.
  

AEP says their crews are working to restore service to about 2,500 homes and businesses in Richland, Ashland, Knox and Huron counties.
  

About 40,000 AEP customers are without power statewide.
  

Ohio Edison reports just over a hundred outages in our area.
