$250,000 Bond Set For Man Accused Of Raping Two Children

A $250,000 cash bond has been set for a Willard man charged with raping two children.

Kenneth Ray Bentley, 55, pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Shelby Municipal Court.He remains in the Richland County Jail.

On May 22nd, Richland County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call from a residence on Taylortown Road from a woman who accused Bentley of molesting her 7 and 11-year-old daughters.

Bentley reportedly was the babysitter for the children.

Authorities captured Bentley near Meijer in Ontario following a chase.

Bentley was initially charged with obstruction of justice, made bail and went to stay in Columbus.

A warrant was issued Thursday for the alleged rapes. Bentley turned himself in to the Franklin County Jail. Richland County Sheriff's Deputies picked him up and took him to the county jail.
