Original Published: 6/13/2013The Galion Board of Education is inviting the community to a reception for Dr. Kathy Jenney.  The Galion schools superintendent is leaving the district next month. The public reception will honor Jenney, and all she's done for the Galion schools. And it's a chance for folks to wish her well in her future endeavours. The reception is next Wednesday, June 19, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., at Galion Middle School. Jenney is taking a position with the Upper Arlington school district. She's spent 18 years in Galion, serving as superintendent since 2007. The Galion School Board has narrowed the search for her replacement to six candidates.  The board hopes to announce their choice for the new superintendent at the next regular school board meeting June 19.
