1,100 Attend MedCentral's Annual Cancer Survivors Day

  Original Published: 6/16/2013  An overflow crowd of 1,100 people, including more than 600 cancer survivors, filled Fairhaven Hall at the Richland County Fairgrounds to celebrate life.   MedCentral Health System and its cancer treatment program, welcomed the attendees to the annual Cancer Survivor's Day, according to vice president Brad Peffley.   Peffley says those attending enjoy a hearty meal, are given flowers and some will walk away with some very nice prizes.   The event also offers cancer survivors a chance to share their stories and to enjoy fellowship in a relaxed atmosphere with others who have battled the disease.
