Ridership is up across the board for Richland County Transit for the past six months or better.
At Monday's RCT board meeting, fiscal officer Kathy Adams says they track ridership every month and like to see more than one-thousand riders a day or trips being provided.

Adams says RCT also is looking at developing other routes and recently, the Park Avenue West bus has begun making trips to the Hawkins Corner complex where the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging moved into.

Adams says RCT's budget is always a challenge but the board continues to try to keep the costs down for both the riders and the agencies that are paying for trips, as well as trying to use federal funds to their maximum potential.
