Original Published: 6/18/2013  Afghan forces have formally taken over security for the entire country from NATO-led troops.   Afghan president Hamid Karzai made the announcement at a hand-over ceremony in Kabul Tuesday.   The event was also attended by NATO's Secretary General.   The Secretary General said the main effort of NATO forces is shifting from combat to support.   He says they'll continue to help Afghan troops in operations, if needed, but they will no longer plan, execute or lead those operations.   NATO's combat mission will be officially complete by the end of 2014.
