Sit, Stay And Read Program Builds Children's Confidence

  A new member of the Mansfield-Richland County Public Library family was introduced Monday afternoon.

  Children's Librarian Mary Johnson says Rose is a therapy dog being used in the library's Sit, Stay and Read program.

  Children can bring in a favorite book and improve their reading skills by reading to the dog.

  Johnson says the Sit, Stay and Read program helps children gain confidence and they, in turn, enjoy reading and bonding with the dog.
