The Pepperidge Farm production facility in Willard is undergoing a $93-million expansion.

This is to keep up with rapidly growing demand for the popular Goldfish crackers.

And, it's a big enough occasion to attract Governor John Kasich for the big announcement and ground-breaking Thursday afternoon.

He was joined by the president of Pepperidge Farm and the CEO of its parent company, Campbell's Soup.

Kasich says this is another example of an improving economy and growing job base in Ohio.

The Pepperidge Farm expansion will create fifty jobs, plus 500 construction jobs.

Construction of the 227,000 square foot expansion should be completed by next summer, with production starting in May 2015.
