Richland County Foundation Awards Grants

  The Richland County Foundation Board of Trustees recently approved grants totaling nearly $60,000 that were awarded from unrestricted funds to meet emerging needs locally.

  SPARC - Succeed and Prosper through Education - Ashland, Richland, Crawford, received $25,000 to cover the costs for all Richland County students in the 8th and 10th grades to participate in the ACT's Explore and Plan Assessments.

  And, the Center for Individual and Family Services received $17,299 for Crisis Unit Reconstruction that will help in creating a 13-bed facility.

  Neos Dance Theatre received $15,000 for a mobile stage. This grant is part of the overall program to allow the company to perform in various spaces.
 
  And, Morton One Room School Historical Society is getting $2,500 toward the transportation costs for students visiting the historic museum.
