Thousands of customers remain without electricity today.

The severe storms that moved through the area late Wednesday brought down power lines across the region.  And crews with Ohio Edison and American Electric Power are working to restore power as quickly as possible.  Both utilities expect most customers to be back online by tomorrow morning.

At 2:00 pm, several thousand people are affected in Richland and surrounding counties.  Here's a breakdown of the numbers without power:

Ashland, 132;  Crawford, 1010;  Huron, 3773;  Knox, 770;  Morrow, 17;  Richland, 1385;  Wayne, 804.
