2013 Summer Crisis Program extended through August 31

 The Community Action Commission of Erie, Huron and Richland Counties is continuing its Summer Crisis Program through August 31.
 

The home energy program will provide one air conditioner to a household that has not received one from HEAP/SCP in 2010, 2011 or 2012. Limited units are available.

The program will also provide one payment for the current electric bill, total amount due, first PIPP Plus or PIPP Default up to $175. A disconnect notice is not required this includes seniors 60 and over.
 

To qualify for the program applicants must have a total household income at or below 175 percent of the 2013 Federal Poverty guidelines.
 

Appointments are made by calling the automated appointment line at 1-866-861-6360.
